Can not Sleep Is Beginning Of Mental Disorder

Did you ever have trouble sleeping? I once and it was very uncomfortable. In the morning we can not move up to and feel this is the wrong agency.

Although only a day I feel unable to sleep, but the feeling is very excruciating. No wonder I really understand the suffering of the patients who complain of difficulty sleeping even close for weeks.

Initial mental disorder

It's hard to sleep even though it sounded trivial, but in my daily practice is often a sign of an underlying psychiatric disorder condition.

Almost rarely I find it difficult to sleep standing alone as a disorder without psychiatric disorders. Usually people who complain of trouble sleeping most of the experience mental disorders include anxiety disorders, depression, dementia and psychotic disorders (mostly schizophrenia).

In patients who experience anxiety disorders, patients usually complain of difficulty to initiate sleep. It was very difficult to close my eyes at the thought that kept thither. If sleep is usually people experiencing sleep-wake between sleep and difficulty in starting to fall back asleep.

Anxiety disorder includes panic disorder, anxiety disorders overall, phobic anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

In patients who experience depressive disorder includes adjustment disorder may have difficulty in maintaining sleep. People will be more rapid depression usually wake in the morning. There is also a feeling sleepy almost all day and no passion, but if it can not be put to sleep.

Patients with dementia or the elderly who already have dementia, often also experience difficulty sleeping. This is related to the function of melatonin receptors that have reduced the number and sensitivity so that many parents who have trouble sleeping.

Difficult Sleep On Physical Condition

In addition to sleep state due to mental illness, some diseases are also often associated with sleep difficulties particularly in patients who have lung disorders. No wonder people suffering from lung disorders such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) are breathing too hard often experience this disorder. Patients with asthma disorders are also often experienced this.

In addition, patients with urinary disorders in patients who usually Prostate disorders are also often difficult to sleep because of disturbed feeling the urge to urinate. There is also a diabetic patient who often experience this. For that physical medical conditions such as these also need to get attention.

To cope with sleep disorders, one first needs to analyze whether sleep is good health. Matters relating to sleep hygiene include:

1. Sleep at relatively the same every night

2. No heavy exercise before bedtime

3. Not consuming food or beverages containing caffeine (coffee, tea, chocolate) before setting off bedtime.

4. Using a clean clothes

5. Cleanliness of the bed is maintained.

6. Do not bring items such as BB, mobile phone or laptop / IPAD to bed so as not to disturb the concentration to sleep.

If things have been done but still have trouble sleeping then it is better to start treatment with the lightest first thing that is by using Melatonin supplementation. If you still have trouble sleeping are also new drugs based on the guidance and supervision of a doctor.
